LGBTQ Youth Program

Our LGBTQ+ Leadership, Belonging & Empowerment program is an affirming space where youth build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and develop a true sense of belonging. Participants learn to communicate clearly, advocate for themselves, and grow into leaders who can navigate school, work, and community life with pride and purpose.

Through guided discussions and hands-on skill building, youth gain practical tools for self-expression, goal setting, healthy decision-making, and future planning, while being supported by a community that sees and celebrates who they are. Program activities youth will participate in include:

  • Confidence & self-advocacy workshops (setting boundaries, speaking up, asking for support)

  • Public speaking and self-expression labs (introductions, storytelling, presentations)

  • Leadership circles (belonging, identity, peer support, community building)

  • Communication skill-building (conflict resolution, respectful dialogue, teamwork)

  • Goal-setting and personal growth plans (milestones, accountability, reflection)

  • Career readiness sessions (resume basics, interview practice, professional communication)

  • Community impact project (plan and lead a small initiative that matters to them)

  • Wellness check-ins (stress management tools, coping strategies, support resources)

  • Field trips and exposure experiences (college visits, local LGBTQ+ organizations, community events, and career exploration outings)
